20 litre side-country packs are ok if you?re into ducking ropes, but if you're the kind of person who likes to start and finish a 'day trip' in the dark you're going to need something a little more significant. Purpose-built for long days in the back country, this mixed-use alpine pack has all the features required, regardless the discipline.

The name comes from the high plain south of Jagungal in Kosciusko National Park. The Geehi main bag is constructed from high-tenacity, PU coated, 210 denier ripstop nylon. This lightweight fabric is tough, sheds snow, and gains very little weight when wet. For the pack base and bottle pockets a 330d Kodra nylon provides the necessary abrasion resistance, while a softer 640d spun polyester on the harness body faces provides comfort against the skin.

The large top covers an open throat and provides real storm protection. It includes a generous top pocket with internal security compartment including key leash so you can separate your valuables. Flip the lid back and you will notice another divider pocket inside the throat, and a hydration pouch feeding dual, self-sealing, Hypalon side ports.

When it comes to functionality and design for long term use it's the little things that make the difference. The throat on the Geehi is wide opening allowing you to see into the bottom of the bag, and find important items in a hurry. There is plenty of room to stash bulky but light insulation layers in the upper part of the pack. The draw cord casing is double-layer reversed fabric eliminating resistance to draw cord operation. The dependable wedge cord lock holds at any cord tension. Looking further down the bag, the tool racking bungee is replaceable, as is the snowboard carry webbing.

Smart design keeps your gear securely racked around the bag. Choose between three options for ski carry: A-frame behind the bottle pockets, side-by-side, or slant carry on the back panel. The back panel houses a snowboard outside the overflow pocket, or a snow shovel within. Tethers accommodate ski poles, axes (trad or tech) or a probe. No matter the gear you carry or how overstuffed the bag, our 3-dimensional 'transformer' bottle pockets will house anything from a 600ml sports bottle right up to a 1000ml, even when carrying skis.

Moving towards the body our Contour-FLEX harness keeps big loads close to your shoulders while our Quad-Pad back system provides simply excellent stability while maintaining ventilation to the lower back. Pushing for a summit you can remove the frame sheet and cut your pack weight to 1340g. The Stowaway hip wings tuck behind the bottle pockets, clearing the hip level for your climbing harness.
