A pannier mounting system lies at the core of performance. Our proprietary, entirely new, rugged and uniquely adaptable design provides secure, rattle-free and stable load carriage. Transconti 30 Panniers can be used either on a front rack, or as a smaller pannier on a rear rack. Mounted low on a front wheel frame they provide superb weight distribution between the front and back wheels, better upright balance and much improved steering traction on loose surfaces. Mounted at the rear they provide the necessary volume for shorter tours and everyday use, where a larger pannier would be overkill. Transconti 30’s are fitted with expanding, external overload pouches, perfect for quickly dealing with an unwanted clothing layer. You can also park your laminated maps and guidebooks in these flat pouches, within easy reach when you pull up for a few minutes to check a view and without much risk of damage from folding or creasing. The combined bag and pouch compression strap ends tuck neatly into recesses on the face of the pouch. No annoying flapping! For quick side trips on foot, the included shoulder harness yoke can be installed to convert one of the pair into a small daypack.
